Truth (Commission)

Commissioned by Dr. Rev. LaVerne C Hall 2019

This clergy stole tells of Sojourner Truth’s journey to truth and freedom. It was made in collaboration with Rev. Hall. She has used this stole to connect Black Women Ministers from across the United States with her “Traveling Stole” project. It has been included in the unveiling of the Sojourner Truth statue in Angola, IN (2023), and was exhibited alongside Rev. Hall’s other accumulated works at the Seattle Public Library (2024)
